Spring 2008 Charity Event -

REBUILDING LIVES ONE ROOM AT A TIME.

The April charity event went off without a hitch at the Minneapolis Gale Mansion. Despite spring showers, guests showed up ready to support the cause and make their bids to support MN Teen Challenge. Over $6000 was raised for the to directly help MN Teen Challenge furnish their new living facilities.

Current MN Teen Challenge residents gave first-hand accounts of how the program helped them do a 180 in their lives, going from near-death to drug-free and excited about the new chapter in their life.

Hosts John and Sara Marino welcomed guests at the Gale Mansion entrance.

Guests ponder their poker chips and other topics at the tables while . . .

others use their chips at the roulette, poker and black jack tables.

The food spread was quite the sight. The menu started with bruschetta and cheese and ended with a most devilish chocolate cake.

The night was capped off by John auctioning off the scissors (and chance) to cut his long-charished pony tail. With a winning bid of $400, Shane stands with John and his now independent pony tail.

Watch the pony get cut!

Thank you to all that participated in the Extreme Makeover event! We look forward to a productive year for MDC foundation - giving of ourselves, funds and support.
